How Does montreeco.com Work?

Montreeco clothing claims to sell top quality products at very affordable rates on their online store, but should you trust them?

For instance, they offer a ‘buy 5 get 15% off’ discount deal. They’ve also generously slashed prices off some products on their store, selling the items for prices that are too good to be ignored.

However, using cheap deals to bait unsuspecting buyers is common among scam online stores. Those who eventually fall for it and go on to make orders end up getting scammed; they either receive products of inferior quality, or nothing at all.

Also, montreeco.com uses a convincing website layout, giving it a trustworthy outlook. But this should not deceive you into believing Montreeco is legit because most of these scam online stores go the extra mile to appear trustworthy.

Montreeco accepts payments made through credit cards and PayPal.

What We Found About Montreeco Clothing!

One of the advantages of the internet age is the ease with which we do things. One could, by clicking a few links on a laptop or a smartphone, purchase items from the comfort of their homes. But its down side is this: because the sellers are invisible, they could easily be scammers.

We have taken the responsibility to carry out reviews on sites like Montreeco and expose their fraudulent schemes.

One of the things we noticed about Montreeco is that no positive reviews have been made about them – not on social media, not on review sites. Usually, authentic positive reviews are a sign that an online store is reliable.

Also, the domain name montreeco.com is less than six months old and, therefore, should not be trusted. And since their creation date is very recent, there is no past timeline through which we can measure their authenticity. Apart from being recent, the domain has a hosting plan lasting for one year. Even Google warns that websites with a short life span are most likely scam.

Their website uses https security – this means that information like passwords and credit card numbers, when sent to their site, is kept private. But this is not an assurance that the people behind the platform won’t tamper with your details.

The other things which we found out about Montreeco which made us believe montreeco.com is a fake online store are:

Reachability

They have no social media presence. Trustworthy stores use social media as a means to advertise their wares and also connect to their customers. They even listen to and resolve customers’ complaints through their social media handles. Most scam stores refrain from having social media accounts because a victim of their fraud can easily tag and expose them there, warning away other prospective buyers.

The contact information provided on their website is not reliable. Their email address is not responsive. They have no return address.

Due to the anonymity of the owners of the store, there is zero accountability, and no one to charge should you be scammed. The absence of a real face to account for the operations of the store is a big red flag.

Reviews

The products sampled on montreeco.com are without customer reviews, which is a bad sign. Reliable online stores like Amazon usually carry mixed customer reviews, both positive and negative, on the products sampled on their store.

When we scanned their site on ScamDoc (a website analysis platform), it returned a very bad trust score of 1%. This means that their site can’t be trusted because no identifying information of the owner is tied to the domain name.

Verdict!

Montreeco.com, like LolasFashion, is an untrustworthy online store. Therefore, we do not recommend that you shop here. If you shop from them, you stand the risk of losing your money but getting no product in return.

There are many untrustworthy online stores on the internet promising to sell top-notch products but at heavily discounted rates.

It is common to come across these e-commerce stores offering good looking products at appetizing prices. But, in the end, such stores usually turn out to be fraudulent.

Most people attracted by these “too good to be true” prices from these online stores have bought goods of their liking but received something different from what they had ordered, and of poor quality.

Worse, some have placed orders with full payment yet received nothing but silence from the online vendors. You do not have to become one of them to learn from their experience.

It is unfair to fall victim to these fraudsters and lose the money you earned from honest work. Fact-checking should be a priority before you buy anything from an online vendor.

If you’ve shopped from this store, or attempted to do so, kindly share your experience with us in the comment section.

  1. Ordered from them 1 month ago and my order still has not shipped. They’re barely responsive through email and said it was due to the pandemic. Now I’m worried after reading this article.

  2. I placed an order at the end of April after seeing an ad for their site and cute maternity dresses. I didn’t think to check out the website until after I placed the order which is when i saw all the negative reviews. I tried to cancel my order then and they said they couldn’t since it was already started. Very quickly after that they sent me a shipping email and tracking info, only all the tracking was in another language so I never knew where it was. I emailed them a few times and they usually did respond within 24 hours but always told me I couldn’t do anything about the order/return until I received it. I FINALLY got my order almost two months later. One item didn’t come with the top overlay piece that ties up and was a completely different colored than advertised. The other item is sooo much smaller than expected. I’ve been emailing them now for four days about wanting to return both items for a full refund due to the time it took to receive and the incomplete order but have not heard back at all. Does anyone know if there is a way to report them to someone?

    1. I received my order after 1.5 months. i orderd some of the cute maternity dresses. The dresses are like Liz said soooo small, I’m sure they wouldn’t fit me even if I were not 8. month pregnant. Absolute disaster. Now i wanted to sent them back, so i mailed the recommended Emailadress. I received an Email which told me to send pictures of the dresses i wanted to turn back. In the last couple of days i tried to sent them the Email with the Photos, but my Email provider always sent me this message back: “The email account that you tried to reach is over quota.” Now I really don’t know what to do or where to sent the items back…
