The Defense headquarter of the Nigeria Military Authority witnessed a minor fire outbreak which started at the second floor of the building on Monday, December 12.

The incidence have been confirmed by Major General Jimmy Akpor, the Director of Defense Information. He stated that the incident has been brought under control with the combined effort of the military and Federal Fire Service personnel and resources.

What led to the fire outbreak at Defense headquarter?

The cause of the fire outbreak is not yet known. However, investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the inferno and normal activities have resumed. All personnel and civilian staff were also evacuated without injury or loss of life.” General Jimmy assured.
